Report Examples

The following is a sample report covering a single assignment.

From this report, you can:

Success Rate

The Success Rate of an item is the average normalized score on that item. With each item graded between 0.0 and 1.0 (that is, normalized), the average score is computed over the set of all scores recorded for that item in the current assignment.

p-Value

The p-Value of an item is the average of scores on that item, taken over the top quartile of assignments and the bottom quartile. This means p = (H + L)/(n/2), where n = number of assignments,

H = sum of scores on item I from the highest-scoring 1/4 of assignments, and

L = sum of scores on item I from the lowest-scoring 1/4 of assignments.

d-Value

The d-Value of an item is the average difference between scores in the top quartile of assignments and bottom quartile.  This means d = (H - L)/(n/4), where n = number of assignments,

H = sum of scores on item I from the highest-scoring 1/4 of assignments, and

L = sum of scores on item I from the lowest-scoring 1/4 of assignments.
