Overview of Class Sharing

You can share content banks, assignments, and resources by using the Share Class option in the System Utilities screen.

To access the System Utilities screen:

From the Instructor Main Menu, click System Tools.
The System Utilities screen opens.

When you share a class, you create a single parent class whose content banks and assignments are cloned. The content banks and assignments are inherited by each child class instance created when registering a copy of the parent.

Use class sharing to administer a large course with many individual class sections. With class sharing, you can draw assignments from a common pool of content banks, administer common homework, practice sessions, or exams. Even though content banks and assignments can be managed in common, each individual section can contain unique content banks and assignments.
